The Suchman Group and a team of land planners, land use attorneys, and lobbyists, created a strategy and orchestrated a successful plan to expand the Urban Development Boundary (UDB) and re-zoned 320 acres to permit the development of over 1,200 residential units, two public schools, and 20 acres of commercial development.
Larry Suchman co-authored, and brought into existence, a Miami-Dade County Traditional Neighborhood District ordinance (TND) that allowed an “anti-UDB expansion” county commission to support and approve this rare boundary change.
The Suchman Group sold off and joint-developed the 320 acres over time, with the last ten acres of land selling in 2018.
