In 1996, we built-to-suit a 40,000 SF Babies R Us in our Kendall Hammocks Shopping Center from design through construction, with the tenant opening its doors in just over 100 days. Once completed, we repositioned our entire center to improve profitability and tenant stability.

SRG was the developer and Landlords agent for this property for over 30 years since Phase 1 was first built in 1985. At that time, the area was so green, underdeveloped, and “way out west,” we jokingly called it “Outpost Plaza” or “Naples East.” Today, Kendall Hammocks Shopping Center finds itself in the middle of West Kendall, with vibrant development of all kinds surrounding it. The property was sold in 2011 to a 1031 buyer.
